Lapland Lake's location is 9 miles northwest of Northville with an elevation which is higher than Northville's by 600 - 800 feet. The daily forecast we provide in our Snow Condition Report is formulated based on the compilation of several reliable forecasting sources combined with our more than 30 years' experience living in this unique micro-climate. |

information) regarding Saturday's exciting Winter Trails
events!
Snow is falling this morning. We have
received 3"of accumulation so far. We are at 100%
operation with all 38km of xc ski trails snowcat groomed with trackset and skating lanes and 12km of scenic trails open for snowshoeing. Our
compacted base depth is up to 2-1/2 feet with up to 3-1/2
feet of
snow in our woods. Surface is packed powder and powder.
Conditions favor classic skiing today.
Snow with sleet is expected to fall today turning to all
snow tonight. Today's high will be 26. Total accumulations
of 4 - 6" are likely. Snow showers are in our forecast Thursday
with a high of 25. Friday is expected to be partly sunny
with a high near 20. Snow is in our forecast again Friday
night and Saturday - not a big storm, but it will bring us
more nice, fresh snow for the weekend. Jammies inside-out! Come lodge with us this
weekend!
Two-fer Fridays! Bring a friend
for free any non-holiday Friday! Buy one pass at the regular
price, receive the second pass for free. (Free pass must be
of equal or lesser value; no other discounts apply; not

Trails are open 10am-4:30 Monday through Friday
and 9am - 4:30pm weekends and holidays. Snowshoe trails, our
ice-skating pond and both children's tubing hills
(old-fashioned ride down, carry back up) are open and ready
for use! Come visit with our
reindeer! Your facility use pass or Season Pass Membership
gives you access to xc ski and snowshoe trails, ice-skating
and
tubing!
Illuminated night skiing, tubing and ice-skating (conditions
permitting)
are available nightly to our overnight lodging guests and to
the general public on the following five Saturday evenings:
January 10, 17, February 7, 14 and March 7.
Our Tuulen Tupa Grill is open for the season as follows: lunch
service seven days a week; dinner service Saturday nights (final
seating 7pm, reservations appreciated). Take-out dinner service
is available to our overnight lodgers Sunday through Friday
nights.
We welcome you to come and enjoy a relaxing Adirondack getaway in one of our cozy
private tupas
(housekeeping cottages) or in a private room. Overnight
guests enjoy complimentary use of facilities each day
(including days of arrival and departure) including ski and
snowshoe trails, children's tubing hills and ice-skating
pond; illuminated facilities including skiing on Lake Trail,
tubing and ice-skating; use of our traditional Finnish
wood-fired sauna; and 50% off a group lesson per person. Make your winter

Lodging Information
Low midweek lodging rates are in effect
non-holiday Sunday through Thursday nights season-long
($160/night double occupancy and $120/night single occupancy in our private 2 & 3-bedroom tupas or in private rooms). This
weekend (Winter Trails weekend - details
below) we still have openings in tupas and
private rooms. Private rooms are in
Lapin Tupa
for $195/night double occupancy. A regular or specially
reduced rate
of $305/night covers up to and including the first three
guests in
Pulkka,
Ruska,
Tunturi and
Lumi. For the 3-night MLKing,Jr
holiday weekend we have remaining two
3-bedroom tupas,
Ruska and
Tunturi, and two 4-bedroom tupas,
Latu and
Lapin.

to first-timers! An afternoon of fun on us!
Complimentary facility use, beginner x-c ski lesson
(special lessons for first-timer kids ages 5+, too!), &
ski or snowshoe rentals for first-time participants.
Pre-registration required.
Free horse drawn sleigh rides
noon-3pm! (Must be a Winter Trails Participant, Season
Pass Member, overnight guest or have purchased a facility use pass
today.) Road conditions permitting.
Napa Kiikku, our fun and
popular ice ride for kids on the pond runs from 2-3pm
Saturday and Sunday!
Finn-tastic Full Moon Night Skiing,
Tubing, Lakeside Campfire and Dinner Service (final
seating 7pm; dinner reservations required). Illuminated
night skiing, tubing and ice-skating are free to Season
Pass Members and to those purchasing a full or half-day
facility use pass; charges apply to those arriving after
4:30 for night skiing, tubing and ice-skating. Lights
are on until 9pm.
Lapland Ladies Love to Ski! A
special program for women, taught by women. From
10:30am - 3:30pm beginner and intermediate level female
skiers, grouped by ability, will receive instruction in
classic ski technique, enjoy lunch with an equipment and
clothing discussion, participate in a social group ski
and enjoy a group wrap-up with hot beverage at the end
of the day. The program is led by Lapland Lake's PSIA-certified
instructors Sherry Dixon, Susan Henriksson and Coleen
Stevens. Cost for the five-hour program is $35 including
facility use pass, lunch, goody bag, and discount
coupons for clothing and equipment. $5 discount for
Season Pass Members. Cost of rental equipment, if
needed, is $10 for this program only. To guarantee your

We are very pleased to announce the return of Carolyn Samuels as our chef at the Tuulen Tupa
Grill. She brings with her a very health-conscious, caring
approach to menu offerings and food preparation along with
superb culinary skills. Our traditional Finnish selections are
in place along with our popular American offerings. Come try
Carolyn’s creative and delicious vegetarian and vegan
specialties and incredible bakery treats! New this winter
- the Tuulen Tupa Grill is open for lunch seven days per week with the Kuuma Tupa Snack Bar (2nd level of the Finnish Line Lodge) open for lunch and snacks weekends and holidays. Dinner service
is offered at the Tuulen Tupa
Grill Saturdays throughout the season, and a dinner take-out
menu is
available to overnight guests Sunday through Friday.
